Have fun with horses

Learn how to be friends with horses

Have a horsey adventure in nature

This fun and playful experience let’s them get up close with our gentlest horses in a safe and professionally organised way. It’s a fun beginner lesson to build trusting, safe friendships with horses.

The session is primarily done on the ground and focuses on natural horsemanship and our relationship with these wonderful equine friends. No prior experience necessary.

What’s included in this experience:

  • Introduction to the horse and horse safety
  • Meet and groom and talk and hear and smell and feel the horses
  • Learn to safely lead a horse
  • How to resepect the horse’s boundaries and set your own
  • Adventures in nature with horses – run and jump and lead and walk
  • Make new friends (2 and 4 legged ones)

We’ll be doing all sorts of fun activities with the horses, and along the way find out all about herd dynamic, how to communicate effectively with horses, how to respect another being’s space and how to claim your own, why ‘no’ is a complete sentence, and much more!

We will meet and groom and talk and hear and smell and feel the horses. We will walk them (much like a dog only softer), we might run with them, hop over small jumps, guide them through a maze, and other fun things. Some kids like to do horse riding, they can sit on the horse’s back and we lead them around.

Often our very experienced young assisting instructor (my daugther) will join in with her joyful energy, which is a great addition to the delivery of the program.

We will gauge where the kids are at, and will adjust things accordingly. Depending on how they go it can range between 2 to 2.5 hours.

Minimum numbers: 2 children. To keep the experience meaningful the maximum number is 4.

what to wear

Please wear closed-toe walking shoes and comfortable outdoor clothes suitable for the day’s weather.
